Rebecca Chianese Book Reading Friday 5/5

Special Book Reading/Signing with Wine Sipping (& salad snacking!) THIS Friday May 5th! At 6:30pm (and again at 8:00pm), hear author Rebecca Chianese read from her new novel, “Mercy” (Mercy – The Book), with it’s theme of rebirth and renewal is a perfect Springtime read! Two times this night the writer will read from her work while we here at Good Wine serve the award-winning Three Brooms Sauvignon Blanc (Regal Wine Imports) throughout the eve (deliciously paired with a Spring-inspired grilled goat cheese salad!).

“Mercy” chronicles the reawakening of a newly-divorced, newly-broke empty-nester named Carly who finds herself suddenly out of place in her glossy suburban bubble. Filled with vivid memories of her 1970’s Brooklyn background, Mercy tells the tale of a creative soul reclaiming herself and her life with her 50th birthday on the horizon …

Brooklyn native Rebecca Chianase’s love of good books began right here in our beloved borough at The Brooklyn Public Library. Inspired by the tragicomic reality of a life that stretches from these city streets way out into suburbia, her novel “Mercy” brings the grit of 1970’s New York into spectacular collision with our high-gloss, picture perfect era of Instagram, “reality” TV and all around image-driven times.

Join us this Friday for some reality inspired escapism amidst old-school communal connection. You’re in store for an entertainingly #GoodRead in #GoodCompany with #GoodFood, and of course some really #GoodWine!
